goats!

Has anyone used goats for grass removal on a roof?

I'm serious! We want to remove some grass (questionable fire hazard), and trimming last year clogged the hvac!

It'll be a pain to haul bags of clipping off this location, so we were thinking about the advantages of having goats haul all those clippings down in their bellies!

It's a rattail fescue.

Thoughts?

What are other grass removal techniques?

Hi Alyssa,

I have included a link to the goat cam at Al Johnson's Swedish Restaurant in Sister Bay, WI.  Although it's somewhat gimmicky, they've been doing this for a long time as a trademark of sorts.  It's a sod roof though, so I don't know it's applicable to your needs or not.

I met you briefly at the Portland Green Roof Symposium a number of years ago.

Good luck,
